my name is maria, and my love for reading and storytelling called me to start this little mobile book cart in south florida.

my goal is to bring literacy back.
reading can help build empathy, it can help you find joy, meaning, love, curiosity, and experience. i believe that there is a reader within us all, you just need to find the book that is for you. i am here to help you do that.

our community in south florida is vibrant, and i want spotlight all of the different voices and stories that deserve to be told.

people go into the business of bookselling because they love to read, and they believe in the power of storytelling. how it can save lives, how it can form bonds, how it can encourage kindness, empathy, and curiosity in the minds of every human. it’s a passion, and a faith. owning a bookstore, purchasing and selling books, having a physical storefront where we can house all of the stories, a safe space for people who just love to read…it is costly. especially in south florida. there is so much diversity in our state. so many different types of stories that need to be told. our community needs a space where it can share impactful stories and celebrate its boldness.

We have so much love for our community, and we know that with the support of this community, we will be able to achieve our dream of continuing with this bookshop, and one day opening up a store where people can come in and celebrate those stories.
